When every light goes out, press Space or tap the reaction pad. Reacting early is a false start.
ABOUT THE TEST
This F1-style reaction time test measures the delay between the start lights going out and your input reaching the browser. Complete five valid starts to see your last reaction, five-start average, and fastest result.
The lights-out moment is randomized so you cannot rely on rhythm alone. Your score can still be affected by your screen, keyboard, mouse, touchscreen, browser, and device, so compare results on the same setup when possible.
This is an independent reflex game inspired by familiar motorsport start procedures. It is not an official Formula 1 product and is not affiliated with any racing organization or team.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Five red lights illuminate in sequence. After a random pause, all five go out together. Your reaction time is measured from lights out until you press Space, click, or tap.
Any response before the red lights go out is a false start. It does not count toward your five valid starts, and you can retry immediately.
Results vary by person and device. Around 200–300 ms is common for a simple visual reaction task, but use your own average as the most useful benchmark and try to improve consistently.
One attempt can be unusually fast or slow. Five valid starts give you a more stable average while still keeping the test quick.
